FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS -
HOW DOES IT WORK EXACTLY?
The players get suited up with all the VR gear, stand in thier designated 'bay' and have fun! We have 5 bays at the arcade; which is a 5x5m space where a player can experience virtual reality. Only one person can be in a bay at any time.
HOW WOULD IT WORK THEN, IF WE HAVE A LARGE GROUP BUT THERE ARE ONLY 5 BAYS?
We form the players into teams, and take turns. At any given moment 5 people can be playing, and we swap in-and-out so everyone gets a good go.
WHAT DO THE PLAYERS EXPERIENCE IN VIRTUAL REALITY?
Its entirely up to them; we have a menu that is always being updated and the player can switch games as often as they like in the time period.
WHAT DO THE OTHER PLAYERS DO WHILE THEY ARE WAITING FOR THEIR TURN?
We have viewing areas so they can watch the action, its very entertaining. We also try to swap reasonably frequently so no one is waiting around for very long.
HOW MANY PEOPLE SHOULD I BRING?
For the "best" experience, the fewer the better. The smallest party (5 people), means everyone gets the maximum play time. But a typical group size is around 10-12 players, and that works well.
DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND DRINK?
No, we dont supply any food at the arcade (except for a small drinks fridge) but you are welcome to bring anything you like. We also have tables we can set up before your arrival, upon request.
IS THERE AN EXTRA CHARGE TO STAY AFTER THE SESSION TO HAVE FOOD AND DRINK?
No, you only pay for the time you are consume in VR. If you want to stick around to have some cake or sing happy birthday, thats absolutely fine.
HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST FOR 1.5 OR 2 HOURS?
1.5 hours - $375, 2 hours - $500
CAN I GO FOR LONGER THAN 2 HOURS?
Absolutely! We can go for as long as you need us to. Contact us for bookings longer than 2 hours.
WHATS THE MINIMUM AGE?
About 7-8 years old. Any younger and we have trouble getting the equipment to fit them properly, it also tends to be a bit heavy for them, and we dont have a lot of VR content for kids younger than 7. Of course, we will always do our best to accommodate.
IF ITS A KIDS PARTY, CAN SOME OF THE ADULTS HAVE A GO?
Of course! It just means a bit more swapping. We dont really mind how many people you bring on the day, but more people just means that everyone has a shorter go.
CAN WE BRING ALCOHOL?
Yes, but it costs an extra $99 and we need at least two weeks notice. We just need to apply through the Adelaide City Council for a Temporary Liquor Licence.
CAN I BRING MORE THAN 30 PEOPLE?
Yes, but its starts getting crowded. We have had up to 50 people in the arcade before (pre-COVID).
DO WE HAVE TO WEAR MASKS?
While you are playing VR, you may remove your mask. If you are elsewhere in the arcade, it must be worn.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?
The person who books is ultimately responsible for any damage. There is also a cleaning fee of $50 if things get really messy. We are happy to vaccum and take out the trash, but if need to scrub the floors or if something gets stained, that will incur a fee.
